Dicefreaks Official Published Texts List

As we begin to put out material, Dicefreaks will continue to eagerly promote and support collaborative projects for the creation of new races, prestige classes, templates, magic, magic items and other elements related to D&D. However, even with out love of flexibility, there are some general guidelines when creating unique creatures and personalities.

Below is a list of the sources Dicefreaks uses in character (PC or NPC) generation. This list is subject to change, but should be perceived as a general rule of thumb when submitting proposals for publishing. Bear in mind that certain books (in fact most of them) contain no open content..

We continue to use the splatbooks (Defenders of the Faith, Masters of the Wild, Song and Silence, Sword and Fist, and Tome and Blood) although sparingly. The material in the new Complete line effectively replaces most splatbook material; however, there are a few PrCs and other mechanics that did not make the transition. As a general rule of thumb, updated material in the Complete line supercedes the same material in the relavent splatbook. If you're interested in using material from a splatbook that did not make it to the Complete series and want your creation to be considered for inclusion into a DF publication, contact a DICE (moderator or admin). There are some mechanics in the Complete line that DF does not adhere to (the biggest culprit being the revised Automatic Quicken Spell). Again, when in doubt, contact a DICE.

There are also numerous references to WotC web enhancements and articles, particularly epic insights and mind's eye.

Dicefreaks turns to Forgotten Realms when absolutely necessary, but typically we avoid it. There are a few cases in which concepts like domains are repeated in another non-FR WotC publication; in all cases, the non-FR publication trumps the concept offered by FR.
